Who is the trophy?

While the debate continues over who has the right to stay in the Trophy final with the Brazilian Champion.

All this comes from the year of 1987 when some clubs met and formed a league, called "Club of 13." They questioned the methods of the CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation). The top clubs were in a group and the smaller clubs in the other. Flamengo and Internacional came to the end, the Flamengo won and the two have refused to deal with the the two of the other group, Sport and Guarani. The CBF Sport proclaimed as the official champion of Brazil in that year. But as the opponents that the Falemngo faced were more difficult, were equivalent to Serie A, The Flamengo and the press declared the champion Flamengo.

Since 1971 this trophy is in dispute and it would be delivered in the final to win the team championship Brasileiro 3 times or 5 times followed rotated.

In 1992 the Flamengo won its fourth official title, and fifth this whole story. Now the Sao Paulo became champion Brazil for the fifth time and officially entitled to be with the trophy on duty.
