Grêmio Recreativo Barueri, usually known as Grêmio Barueri, or simply as Barueri, is a Brazilian football club from Barueri, São Paulo state.
On March 26, 1989, Grêmio Recreativo Barueri was founded as the official Barueri city representative in several different sports.
In 2001, the club professionalized its football section, and disputed the Paulista Chanpionship Série B/3, finishing in the 14th position.
In 2006, Grêmio Barueri disputed the Brazilian Serie C for the first time, finishing in the fourth place, thus being promoted to the following year's Série B. A fourth place finish in 2008 allowed the team to be promoted to Série A.
